The dental x-ray process will begin with a lead apron or vest placed over the body. This will protect you from any of the radiation being used. The next step is to place a small device in the mouth. This device allows us to take the x-ray with a machine that is aimed at the mouth. The x-ray is taken and will be used during the appointment to help in creating a treatment plan specific to your needs. The x-ray process is done easily and comfortably in our office. We will always let you know when x-rays are needed, and you always have the right to refuse x-rays. Though we feel that x-rays are essential in maintaining optimal oral health.
